Interpipe, a Ukrainian steel pipe and railway products manufacturer, has completed a new OCTG pipe supply contract for a geothermal energy project in Slovakia.

The company said it delivered nearly 1,000 tons of threaded seamless casing with API Buttress connection, with diameters ranging from 7 inches to 13 3/8 inches, manufactured in compliance with the API 5CT standard. Interpipe noted that the geothermal system is expected to generate almost 175,000 MWh of clean energy annually.

Bartlomiej Kania, OCTG Sales Manager for Continental Europe at Interpipe, said geothermal energy is increasingly becoming a key pillar of Europe’s energy transition due to its strong technical potential. He added that Interpipe offers a comprehensive OCTG seamless product portfolio for geothermal applications, including proprietary premium connections designed specifically for such use.
