Yieh Hsing announces Feb price hikes for stainless steel & carbon steel wire rods

Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's major wire rod manufacturers, announced its February wire rod pricing on January 30, raising rates for both stainless steel and carbon steel products. This double increase was due to a sharp climb in raw material costs and a general uptrend in international market prices.

For stainless steel, 300-series prices rose by NT$7.5 per kilogram, and the 200 and 400-series increased by NT$2 and NT$1 per kilogram, respectively. Surcharges for copper-bearing grades are raised by NT$2 per kilogram, with 316 series surcharges up by NT$3.5 per kilogram. Carbon steel wire rods have a slight rise of NT$0.5 per kilogram.

The company said these adjustments are to reflect the current surge in global stainless steel production costs.
