Tenaris will provide essential equipment and services for the third phase of the Sakarya gas field project in the Black Sea. Operating in ultra-deep waters at a depth of 2,150 meters, the project requires a lot of steel for flowlines and export pipeline.

The order includes 87,800 tons of welded pipes for a 180 km export pipeline, manufactured at the Confab mill in Brazil. Another 22,700 tons of seamless pipes will be produced at the Dalmine mill in Italy for flowlines and a 62 km monoethylene glycol pipeline. Tenaris will also supply 7,700 tons of line pipe for production risers and an additional 10,000 tons of casing for offshore drilling.

To ensure pipeline integrity, the units will feature three-layer polypropylene anticorrosion coatings, anode pads, and buckle arrestors. The drilling casing will utilize Dopeless® technology, a dry, multi-functional coating that removes the need for running compounds on the rig floor to improve safety.

Through its One Line® service model, Tenaris integrates manufacturing with coating and logistics to support this 170 km offshore expansion operated by Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi (TPAO).
