Interpipe, a Ukrainian manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products, will supply 2,600 tons of steel pipe to support foundations along the Mediterranean Core Corridor. This network connects southern Spanish seaports to Eastern Europe.

The order consists of pipes with diameters between 114.3 and 244.5 mm and wall thicknesses from 8 to 25 mm. The project uses S355J2H steel grade for its high-strength and temperature toughness in bridges and buildings. Interpipe already shipped one quarter of the volume.

According to Senior Pipe Sales Manager for the European Market, Massimo Marrama, the pipes are cut to specific lengths to optimize the manufacture of piles and micropiles. Interpipe expects this long-term project to lead to new opportunities within the Italian construction and infrastructure market.
