British Steel has supplied around 480 tons of structural sections for a major industrial project at Associated British Ports’ Helm site in Immingham.

The development is located near the company’s Scunthorpe plant and covers about 227 acres. It will include eight industrial and logistics units aimed at attracting companies from sectors such as energy, engineering, manufacturing, and port services.

The steel is being delivered through Billington Structures. Due to its proximity to the ports of Immingham and Grimsby, the project is expected to boost logistics activity and create hundreds of jobs.

Construction started in December 2025 and is scheduled to continue into early 2026.
