USITC schedules expedited AD & CVD sunset reviews for Mexican and Turkish rebar

23 Feb 2026 16:04 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US International Trade Commission (USITC) officially moved forward with expedited sunset reviews regarding existing trade orders on steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Mexico and Turkey.

These reviews evaluate whether ending the current anti-dumping (AD) duties on Mexico and countervailing duties (CVD) on Turkey would likely result in continued or recurred material injury to the domestic steel industry.

The decision to fast-track the process comes after the Commission found that the domestic interested party group response was adequate and the respondent producer group response was inadequate. This move avoids conducting full reviews, though interested parties can still submit written comments until March 11, 2026.

The USITC is expected to release its final determinations later this year.
