Based in Kaohsiung Port, Walsin Energy Cable System is currently certifying its array and high-voltage export cables. This joint venture with NKT HV Cables AB, a subsidiary of Denmark’s NKT Group, plans to start mass production in the second half of 2027.

The facility has a dedicated pier and world-class manufacturing standards. Its annual capacity includes 200 km of array cables for turbine connection and 300 km of export cables for onshore power transmission.

Market participants expect profit margins to match global peers. As Taiwan advances offshore wind projects and energy transitions, this local production base will drive significant business growth starting in 2028.
