Taiwan’s Tung Ho Steel implements fifth consecutive H-beam price increase

16 Mar 2026 13:46 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Taiwan’s construction steel producer Tung Ho Steel notified distributors on March 16 that base prices for H-beams will rise by NT$400 per ton for the second half of March, representing the fifth price hike since mid-January, which brought the total cumulative increase to NT$1,900 per ton.

Following a stable pricing period throughout most of 2025, the market turned in late January with two rapid adjustments totaling NT$700, followed by steady NT$400 hikes in February and early March.

Customers must submit order details by the close of business on March 18 for the company’s production planning. Sales representatives will provide individual order volume allocations to each distributor separately.
