EU launches AD investigation into copper tube imports from 4 countries

17 Mar 2026 14:13 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The European Commission initiated an anti-dumping (AD) probe on March 12, 2026, targeting copper tubes from China, Mexico, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan. This action responds to a formal request submitted by the EU Copper Tubes Defence Committee on January 26.

The inquiry focuses on products classified under CN code 7411 10 90. To assess potential market distortions, the Commission will examine pricing data from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, while the evaluation of industrial damage spans back to January 2022.

This regulatory step aims to determine if the subject goods entered the European market at unfairly low prices, potentially harming regional manufacturers. The commission will now collect evidence from all involved parties to reach a preliminary determination.
