Taiwan’s Tow Fing raises steel bar prices due to rising costs

24 Mar 2026 15:40 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Tow Fing Industrial Co., Ltd., a steel bar producer in Taiwan, announced a second price increase this month on March 24, with hikes ranging from NT$500 to NT$1,500 per ton.

The General Manager said that these adjustments address volatile raw material prices and sharp production cost increases expected in the second quarter.

For the large round bar series, products using China Steel Corp. (CSC) materials increase by NT$500 per ton, while others rise by NT$1,000 per ton. Polished steel bars, including carbon steel and the 1215, 1144, and 12L14 series, have a uniform NT$1,500 per ton increase.

These increases followed a NT$500 rise on March 2, reflecting ongoing supply chain pressure.
