The Korea Rebar Exchange, launched on March 25, utilizes proprietary technology to automate complex delivery calculations for heavy steel goods.

Developed more than 30,000 hours with seven pending patents, the system addresses long-standing obstacles such as variable road conditions, vehicle accessibility, and traffic restrictions. When selecting products, buyers receive automated guidance on optimal loading volumes and real-time shipping costs, eliminating the need for manual communication.

In addition to logistics, the platform supports small-quantity trades and specialized items, including scrap and coil rebar, moving away from traditional bulk-only transactions.

Real-time pricing and condition photos ensure transparency for redistributed or imported materials. Following this rollout, the exchange plans to include steel pipes and explore international markets, such as China, to expand its digital trade infrastructure.
