Taiwan’s Yieh Hsing announces April price hikes for stainless steel and carbon steel wire rods

31 Mar 2026 14:43 reported by Joy Liu

Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's major wire rod manufacturers, revealed its April prices today (March 31), raising 300-series stainless steel wire rods by NT$4,000. Both the 200 and 400 series had increases of NT$2,000, and the 316 series surcharges rose by NT$4,000. In addition, carbon steel wire rod prices were increased by NT$1,000 per ton.

The company said these adjustments were due to ongoing Middle East instability, which has caused raw material expenses to climb steadily. The price hikes are to account for these rising production costs. This decision reflected the volatile global landscape affecting the steel industry as the company moves into the second quarter of 2026.
