Taiwan’s Feng Hsin maintains steel prices for rebar, scrap, section steel this week

Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd., a leading long steel producer in Taiwan, maintains stable prices this week, with rebar at NT$18,900 per ton, scrap at NT$9,900 per ton, and section steel at NT$24,500 per ton.

Business activity remains stagnant, and order volumes have declined. Although international billet prices rose, the appreciation of the Taiwan dollar offsets rising costs, keeping rebar valuations within a controllable range.

On the raw materials side, Japan’s H2 scrap climbed to US$385 per ton from US$375. US containerized scrap held steady at US$362 per ton, and Australian iron ore reached US$109.05 per ton from US$108.1.
