Saarstahl Ascoval to deliver low-carbon round bars to Mannesmann Precision Tubes under new contract

Mannesmann Precision Tubes, a leading manufacturer of seamless and welded precision steel tubes in Germany, signed a contract with Saarstahl Ascoval, an electric steel plant in France, to supply continuous cast round steel bars.

This agreement provides essential pre-material for the production of seamless tubes. The two companies will coordinate through customized logistics and close supply chain cooperation to maintain reliable deliveries to manufacturing facilities and end users.

A primary benefit of this partnership involves environmental performance. Saarstahl Ascoval uses the electric arc furnace (EAF) production route, which helps Mannesmann Precision Tubes improve its carbon footprint. This strategic addition to the supplier portfolio ensures a steady material flow while supporting cleaner steel manufacturing processes.
