US announces preliminary AD ruling on OCTG from South Korea

15 May 2026 16:18 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced preliminary findings regarding oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from South Korea. For the review period from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023, the authority determined that SeAH Steel Corporation did not receive countervailable subsidies from the South Korean government. This initial ruling indicated that the producer operated without unfair state support during the examined period.

The USDOC also rescinded the review for four other firms, AJU Besteel, ILJIN, Kumkang Kind, and NEXTEEL, after withdrawal requests were submitted. Furthermore, the Commerce planned to rescind its review of Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. (Hyundai Pipe) because no reviewable shipments entered the US during that review period.

Interested parties may now submit comments on these preliminary results before the final decision.
