HD Renewable Energy, a smart energy company headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, announced an agreement between its ZEBRE platform and Greensteel Australia to develop a renewable-energy-driven steel manufacturing model.

Under the strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU), ZEBRE will utilize its 437MW solar and storage assets in South Australia to support ultra-low emission steel production.

The partnership plans to deploy a 400MW large-scale battery storage system alongside behind-the-meter storage and power management at the production facility. In addition, HD Renewable Energy intends to introduce its TAITEN containerized energy storage system to secure grid stability and manage energy costs for the manufacturer.

This cooperation enables large energy consumers to adapt to strict Australian grid regulations enacted in March 2026. The Taiwanese energy developer also aims to evaluate containerized computing data centers to provide low-carbon power solutions for heavy industries.
