Tsingshan joint venture applies for LME aluminum brand listing

20 May 2026 16:06 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
China’s Tsingshan Holding Group requested the London Metal Exchange (LME) to clear aluminum produced by its Indonesian joint venture, Hua Chin, for contract deliveries.

Partnered with Huafon Group, the Sulawesi island facility launched its second phase this year, reaching a yearly capacity of 480,000 metric tons of aluminum ingots.

Approval would position Hua Chin as Indonesia’s second high-grade primary aluminum brand on the exchange, joining state-owned producer Inalum.

This output expansion came as Indonesia increases metal exports, a development that could mitigate supply deficits caused by conflicts in the Middle East.
