German industrial company TAKRAF will supply two conveyors for the Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée (CBG) bauxite expansion project in Guinea as part of the fast-track EPC project. In the Phase 2 expansion project, the conveyor system package was proposed, and TAKRAF’s award was received after the successful execution of the EPC contract for Phase 1 of the project in late 2016.

In March this year, an EPC order was received. One conveyor was expected to be commissioned by the end of this year, and the commission of the second one would be shortly thereafter.

The scope of the contract includes the replacement of two existing conveyors to service the upcoming and planned Phase 2 expansion project, aiming to increase bauxite production capacity to 5,400 tons per hour.
