GAC & Chinalco sign agreement to develop alumina refinery in Guinea

Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) signed a cooperation agreement with Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco) to set up an alumina refinery in Guinea.

GAC said this collaboration is an important step for the company’s commitment to the development of an alumina refinery and the growth of its business, supporting the country’s goal of development in the alumina refining industry.

The cooperation began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in March. The experience of both companies in the alumina refining field will be fully utilized.
