13 Jul 2023 15:38 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Shareholders of Alum Tulcea, an alumina plant in Romania, 99.4% owned by aluminum producer Alro, decided to sell Global Aluminum Limited, through which it owned bauxite mines in Sierra Leone.

A local investor in Sierra Leone has shown its interest in acquiring Global Aluminum Limited by giving an unsolicited offer at the beginning of May. The offer involved the acquisition of the whole share capital of Sierra Mineral Holdings 1 Limited (SMHL), registered in the British Virgin Islands and wholly owned by Global Aluminum Limited.
