Egypt Aluminum (Egyptalum), the largest aluminum producer in Egypt, decided to extend the bidding period for its smelter expansion project by one month to November 12 from October 12 due to requests of bidding companies.

In June this year, Egyptalum issued a tender notice for the development project of its aluminum plants regarding engineering, procurement, and construction.

Driven by surged aluminum sales and net profits, the company planned to invest around 1.05 billion Egyptian pounds in projects in the next fiscal year starting on July 1, 2023, said Egyptalum.
