Guinea Alumina provides fuel berths and bulk storage to Guinea

28 Dec 2023 12:21 reported by Yolanda Wang

Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC), a bauxite mining subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium, has offered the government access to GAC's fuel berths and bulk storage infrastructure to help deal with the aftermath of an oil terminal explosion.

Guinea Alumina operates mining concessions in the northwest of Guinea and transports bauxite primarily by rail to GAC port.

Guinea's aluminum supply has been in focus after the explosion at an oil terminal on December 18. Guinea said its mining, railway, and export activities will not be disrupted, and production and shipments will not be affected either.
