Kardemir to invest in 1-million-ton green cement production

Kardemir Karabük Demir Çelik Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir), a steel producer in Turkey, said its subsidiary KARÇİMSA Çimento A.Ş. will invest in building a clinker and granulated slag grinding facility with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons to produce green cement, as part of its commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing.

Kardemir said that the investment is in line with its sustainable growth strategy to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in cement production. This investment also demonstrates the company’s commitment to the green industry and its long-term strategy of supporting sustainable building materials.
