Finland's Meriaura Energy and Sweden's SSAB have collaborated to provide 22,000 households in Bad Rappenau, Germany, for the supply of near-carbon-free heat.

The facility covers an area of 29,000 square meters and is Germany's largest flat plate solar collector plant with a nominal power of around 20MW, supplying residences, hospitals, hotels, and spa complexes in the region. The system is equipped with 1,800 Savo 16S solar collectors with an 8,000 m³ heat storage tank to ensure stable heating.

SSAB supplies key components to meet Meriaura Energy's needs. The two parties have been working together for ten years. Meriaura Energy CEO Antti Lilleberg emphasized that SSAB has become an ideal partner due to its high-quality products and flexible response capabilities.
