A new aluminum can and beverage bottling plant will open in the Yangi Avlod free economic zone in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in June this year.

Backed by the foreign-invested enterprise East Can Solutions with an investment of US$90 million, the new manufacturing plant will reduce imports of aluminum cans and boost exports. The 21-hectare facility will create up to 500 jobs, producing up to 2.2 billion cans and 650.9 million beverage bottles annually in both aluminum and PET packaging.

30% of the plant’s output will go to CIS markets, with export revenues expected to reach US$50 million.

The project utilizes advanced equipment from the US and Europe with high automation levels, ensuring the production process meets environmental standards.
