A A A
Hydro Energi, part of the energy and aluminum company Hydro, has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTE, an energy company engaged in producing and distributing renewable energy, to secure 660 GWh of renewable energy from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2029.

The agreement will be a part of Hydro Energi’s total power portfolio, which includes captive power generation of 9.4 TWh per year and a long-term contract portfolio of around 10 TWh.

This agreement supports Hydro’s aluminum production, which relies on renewable energy to maintain a carbon footprint 75% lower than the global average, contributing to its net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
