IAI: Global primary aluminum production decreases in Feb m-o-m, y-o-y

Global primary aluminum production in February 2025 totaled 5.645 million tons, a decrease from 6.235 million tons in the previous month and a drop from 5.694 million tons in the same month last year, according to the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.

In the month, the global daily average output of primary aluminum was 201,600 tons, rising from 201,100 tons in the previous month.

In China, the estimated primary aluminum production in February was 3.37 million tons, slightly up from the revised figure of 3.723 million tons in January. Production in other regions of Asia was 374,000 tons, sliding from 411,000 tons in the previous month.
