Hindalco plans Rs 450 billion investment in aluminum, copper, specialty alumina businesses

Hindalco Industries, an Indian aluminum and copper manufacturer under the Aditya Birla Group, planned to invest Rs 450 billion in its aluminum, copper, and specialty alumina businesses, focusing on upstream and high-precision engineered products.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Aditya Birla Group, said the company is expected to exceed one million tons of refined copper production, shifting from a metals supplier to an engineered solutions partner.

Hindalco is also working on automotive, electric vehicles (EVs), packaging, and battery collaborations.
