Outokumpu achieves top sustainability recognition

Outokumpu has once again earned Platinum level recognition from EcoVadis, placing the company among the top 1% of sustainability performers in its industry.

The company made significant environmental progress in 2024, reducing emission intensity by 32% compared to 2016 baseline levels. Outokumpu also achieved key sustainability targets with 95% recycled material content and 90% low-carbon electricity usage.

Outokumpu's sustainable practices helped customers avoid 10 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions compared to the global industry average. Several leading companies across Europe and Asia reduced their carbon footprint by more than 50,000 tons through Outokumpu's innovative Circle Green® solution.

The company has garnered additional sustainability accolades, including listings in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook, Sustainalytics' ESG ranking as a Top-Rated ESG performer, and Corporate Knights' Clean200 listing.
