SSAB, Outokumpu, and Alfa Laval have started to integrate low-emission steel from SSAB and Outokumpu into Alfa Laval’s plate heat exchangers.

Alfa Laval's new equipment utilizes SSAB Zero steel and Outokumpu Circle Green stainless steel to significantly reduce carbon emissions while providing energy-efficient, low-emission heat transfer solutions for the new cooling system at the Laakso Hospital area in Finland.

SSAB and Outokumpu announced their goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of their products by up to 60%. Outokumpu stated that Circle Green's carbon footprint is 93% lower than the global industry average, and the carbon footprint of each product is calculated for every delivery.
