China's aluminum sector aims for global expansion despite tariff issue

Despite US tariffs and global trade uncertainties, Chinese aluminum producers plan to continue overseas expansion due to domestic oversupply. They downplayed the impact of US tariffs, citing strong demand from other markets.

Jiangsu Dingsheng New Materials Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. will proceed with overseas expansions, while Henan Mingtai AL. Industrial Co., Ltd. stated that Chinese aluminum remains competitive and will overcome this round of US tariff measures.

However, statistics showed China's aluminum exports fell by more than 7% to 1.37 million tons in the first three months of the year following the removal of a tax rebate.
