Global primary aluminum production totaled 6.227 million tons in March 2025, a decrease from 5.66 million tons in the previous month and an increase from 6.089 million tons in the same month last year, according to the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.

In the month, the global daily average output of primary aluminum was 200,900 tons, falling from 202,100 tons in the previous month.

In China, the estimated primary aluminum production in March was 3.729 million tons, up from the 3.399 million tons in February. Production in other regions of Asia was 415,000 tons, growing from 374,000 tons in the previous month.
