Vardhman Special Steels reports revenue growth in FY25 & announces Rs 2,000 Crore expansion

Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. (VSSL), based in Ludhiana, reported a 6.2% year-on-year revenue growth to Rs 1,764.41 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. VSSL’s FY25 EBITDA rose by 2.84% to Rs 177.16 crore, while profit after tax increased by 1.59% to Rs 93.09 crore. Sales volume climbed by 12.8% to 219,996 tons.

During its April 22 board meeting, the company also announced a Rs 2,000 crore greenfield steel plant in Punjab, aimed at adding 500,000 MT of billet production capacity, along with rolling and testing facilities. The new plant is expected to be operational by the fiscal year of 2029-30. The new facility aims to meet future demand, reduce costs, and support product diversification.
