Israel's National Planning and Building Council has approved the construction of a 400-kilometer hydrogen pipeline stretching from the Jezreel Valley to Eilot.

Announced by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the project aims to cut carbon emissions by supplying factories with clean hydrogen, replacing polluting fossil fuels. The project is an important move in reducing Israel's reliance on coal and natural gas and also aligns with the country’s broader decarbonization strategy and goal to increase clean energy use.

Private sector funding will support the pipeline, with planning completion expected by the end of this year.
