Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe said that in 2024, the company's carbon emissions during the production of seamless steel pipes and railway products reduced by 61% and 46%, respectively, compared to 2010.

Interpipe has fully disused an outdated steelmaking system and built a new electric arc furnace (EAF) mill called Interpipe Steel, which has become the cornerstone of the company's carbon reduction and environmental protection initiatives. The total investment in the project amounts to US$1 billion, marking it as the largest green industry investment in Ukraine since the country gained independence.

Interpipe plans to reduce carbon emissions per ton of seamless steel pipes and railway products by 26% and 25%, respectively, by 2030, based on 2023 levels.
