OYAK Mining and Metallurgy subsidiaries Erdemir and İsdemir have commissioned significant projects meeting their net-zero roadmap and sustainable growth targets.

Erdemir launched its fourth coke battery and by-products facility, raising production capacity to 800,000 tons annually. This investment replaces first and second batteries that had been operational since 1965, improving environmental performance and reducing import reliance with advanced dust collection and automation infrastructure.

Also, İsdemir commenced operations at its new, high-capacity No.1 blast furnace, intending to greatly advance the company’s carbon neutrality goals and sustainable growth vision by enhancing energy efficiency, reducing costs, and adopting environmentally friendly production methods
