IAI: Global alumina output falls by 2.5% in Apr m-o-m

According to data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled 12.407 million tons in April, falling by 2.5% compared to the previous month.

Among them, production from China accounted for the largest proportion, with an estimated output of 7.384 million tons, followed by Oceania with 1.436 million tons and Africa and Asia (excluding China) with 1.197 million tons.

In the given period, chemical alumina output reached 793,000 tons, up from 749,000 tons in the preceding month; metallurgical alumina output was 11.614 million tons, sliding from 11.974 million tons in March.
