US extends AD & CVD duties on China’s aluminum wire and cable

20 Jun 2025 11:33 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has ordered the continuation of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on aluminum wire and cable imported from China, based on the result of a review by both the USDOC and the US International Trade Commission (USITC).

The USDOC and USITC concluded that revoking these AD and CVD duties would likely result in the continuation or recurrence of dumping, countervailable subsidies, and material injury to the US industry.

These duties were initially imposed in December 2019. The USITC published its affirmative determination on June 13, 2025, leading to this continuation of the measures.

The products involved are classified under the HTSUS subheading 8544.49.9000 and may also enter under 8544.42.9090.
