Vietnam's Xuan Thien Group has officially broken ground on a VND 98 trillion green steel complex in Nghia Hung, Nam Dinh province. The project covers 425 hectares and will have an annual production capacity of 9.5 million tons.

According to the plan, the first batch of steel products is expected to roll off the line in June 2028; the entire project is expected to be completed in June 2030.

The project is a milestone because it will use electricity and natural gas and adopt green hydrogen technology for reduced iron production, gradually phasing out traditional coke-based production methods. This can significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and meet global environmental standards.
