Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co. signed two contracts with China’s SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., totaling SAR 68.66 million to supply steel wind towers for two major wind farm projects in Saudi Arabia.

The first contract, valued at SAR 35.70 million, is for the Al Ghat Wind Farm, while the second, worth SAR 32.96 million, is designated for the Waad Al Shamal Wind Farm. Both contracts will begin in August 2025 and are scheduled to run for six months. The financial impact is expected to be reflected in the company's third-quarter 2025 earnings.

These projects are part of Round 4 of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), which aims to reach 50% renewable energy in the national energy mix by 2030. Al Ghat and Waad Al Shamal, with a combined capacity of 1.1 GW, mark the Kingdom’s first wind IPPs involving the Japanese company Marubeni, in collaboration with SPPC and Ajlan & Bros.
