Vedanta Aluminium, the largest aluminum producer in India, announced a 120 kilo tonnes per annum (KTPA) capacity expansion at its Primary Foundry Alloy (PFA) unit within the Special Economic Zone in Jharsuguda. This expansion strengthens India's role in the global automotive and engineering aluminum market.

PFA is crucial for automotive components such as alloy wheels and engine blocks, known for their strength and thermal conductivity. Vedanta's PFAs meet global quality standards, making them suitable for leading automakers. The expansion aligns with India's booming automotive sector and increasing demand for lightweight materials and electric vehicles.

This strategic expansion aims to position India as a global hub for advanced aluminum solutions. Vedanta has equipped its Jharsuguda facility with advanced casting lines and technology to ensure high quality, serving both domestic and international markets in Europe, North America, and Asia.
