Hindalco Industries, an Indian aluminum manufacturer under the Aditya Birla Group, has reported a significant growth in its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026. The company’s consolidated net profit rose by 30% year on year to Rs 4,004 crore. Revenue from operations also grew by 13% year on year to Rs 64,232 crore, a result of higher average aluminum prices.

The company attributed this growth to strong performances in both its Indian aluminum business and its US-based subsidiary, Novelis. The aluminum India downstream business notably had its best quarterly performance, with EBITDA doubling.

Novelis also contributed positively with a 1% increase in shipments, reaching 963,000 tons, led by beverage can shipments.
