Turkey's Hasçelik has launched a EUR 150 million steel plant in Bilecik, Turkey, focusing on eco-friendly production.

The plant utilizes magnetic electric arc furnaces and scrap preheating to minimize carbon emissions and energy use. It will operate entirely on recycled raw materials, supporting circular economy goals and serving key industries.

With 225 jobs created, the project strengthens regional economic development. The initiative aligns with Turkey's $31 billion green transformation strategy for low-carbon steel production by 2053.
