Rio Tinto adjusted its 2025 bauxite production target, raising the forecast to 59-61 million tons from the prior 57-59 million tons range. The company reported setting back-to-back quarterly production records in its bauxite business.

The mining giant maintained its 2025 projections for other commodities. Aluminum output is still expected to be between 3.25 and 3.45 million tons. Likewise, copper expectations remain at 780,000 to 850,000 tons, driven by the ongoing ramp-up at the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia.

Rio Tinto now expects Pilbara iron ore shipments at the lower end of its 323-338 million tons range due to the cyclone impacts in the first quarter.
