SeAH Besteel Holdings is entering the global aircraft materials market by investing in a new plant for high-strength aluminum.

On October 28, the subsidiary SeAH Aerospace & Defense announced a KRW 58.8 billion initial investment to build a plant in Changnyeong-gun, South Gyeongsang Province. The facility, set for commercial production in the second half of 2027, will have an annual capacity of 770 tons of aluminum materials for aircraft fuselages and wings.

The total mid-to-long-term investment is estimated at KRW 100 billion. This strategic decision aims to secure a future growth engine and will supply materials to major global manufacturers such as Boeing and Embraer, shifting SeAH's business focus amid a challenging steel market.
