IAI: Global alumina output slides by 3.8% in Oct m-o-m

According to data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled 13.373 million tons in October, falling by 3.8% from 12.884 million tons in the previous month.

Among them, production from China accounted for the largest proportion, with an estimated output of 8.21 million tons, followed by Oceania with 1.499 million tons and Africa and Asia (excluding China) with 1.255 million tons.

In the given period, chemical alumina output reached 746,000 tons, remaining flat from the preceding month; metallurgical alumina output was 12.627 million tons, rising from 12.138 million tons in September.
