Galmed Steel, a Spain-based hot-dip galvanized steel producer, and Swedish green steel startup Stegra have entered into a Letter of Intent to provide specialized coating services for sustainable metal products.

Under this partnership, Galmed Steel will perform the galvanization of green steel produced at Stegra’s facility in Boden. This collaboration specifically serves Stegra’s customers within the automotive industry who require high-quality galvanized flat products.

Founded in 2020, Stegra focuses on industrial decarbonization through green steel production and low-emission platforms. The agreement establishes Galmed Steel as a key partner in Stegra's supply chain for environmentally friendly materials. By combining Stegra’s green steel manufacturing with Galmed Steel’s finishing capabilities, the companies aim to meet the strict quality standards of the automotive sector while reducing carbon footprints.
