China’s unwrought aluminum and aluminum exports rise by 16.7% in Feb y-o-y

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products reached 430,000 tons in February, a 16.7% increase from the previous year. Total exports for the first two months reached 970,000 tons, up by 12.8%. Meanwhile, alumina exports dropped by 29.4% in February to 150,000 tons.

Import data showed a 10% decline in unwrought aluminum and aluminum products for February, totaling 290,000 tons. However, imports of aluminum ore and concentrates rose by 18.1% to nearly 17 million tons during the month. Cumulative ore imports for January and February combined reached 36.2 million tons, an 18.7% rise compared to the same period in 2025.
