The European Commission initiated its first sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) measures regarding aluminum extrusions from China on March 27, 2026.

This investigation responds to a request filed by the European Aluminium on December 19, 2025, aiming to determine if terminating current duties would lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to domestic producers.

The Commission will analyze dumping data from January 2025 to December 2025 and evaluate industry injury spanning from January 2022 through the end of the review investigation period. A final determination is expected to be made within 12 months, barring a maximum three-month extension.

The products involved are aluminum bars, rods, profiles, tubes, and pipes containing no more than 99.3% aluminum, whether or not hollow or prepared for use in structures. This review includes unassembled items that may be cut-to-length, drilled, bent, chamfered, or threaded. Specifically excluded from this investigation are products already attached to form subassemblies, welded tubes and pipes, and packaged kits containing all parts necessary to assemble a finished product without further fabrication.
