Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a premium aluminum producer based in the UAE, announced plans to purchase an 80% stake in Eco Green, an Italian aluminum recycling company.

This transaction expands EGA’s recycling footprint in Europe, where demand for recycled metal continues to rise. Eco Green processes over 70,000 tons of scrap annually and currently pursues a capacity expansion in Nogara di Verona scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026.

Upon closing, EGA’s total recycling capacity across the UAE, Europe, and the US will exceed 400,000 tons per year. CEO Abdulnasser Bin Kalban said that the acquisition provides essential expertise in the European scrap market.

The Scappini family, who founded Eco Green in 1993, will maintain their leadership roles to support the company’s growth within EGA’s global RevivAL brand.
